Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20th, 2003) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. In the latter half of 2010 she became famous for her roles as the lead actress in Disney's television programs Bizaardvark (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series). Rodrigo made her debut on the mainstream scene with "Drivers License" the first single she released. She signed with Interscope Records in 2020 and broke a number of records. Following it she released two singles "Deja Vu,"" and "Good 4 U" and her debut solo studio album Sour (2021) that received numerous accolades, which included three Grammy Awards. In 2022, Olivia Rodrigo, a Disney+ documentary on her process of creating, Olivia Rodrigo. Driving Home 2 U followed. Rodrigo is an Billboard Hot 100 singles number-one, one Billboard 200 album number-one, and has five multi-Platinum certificates from the Recording Industry Association of America. Alongside her other accolades, Rodrigo won the American Music Award, seven Billboard Music Awards, and four MTV Video Music Awards. Time named Rodrigo the 2021 Entertainer of the Year, while Billboard declared her the 2022 Woman of the Year. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is the daughter of Jennifer Rodrigo (school teacher) and Chris Rodrigo (family therapist). She was born in Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta on February 20, 2003. [3][4][5][6]She grew up in Temecula. Rodrigo is Filipino American. Rodrigo has an Irish and a German mother. [6][9][10] She has stated that her paternal great-grandfather moved from the Philippines to the United States as a teenager and her family adheres to Filipino customs and food. Rodrigo started singing lessons at age six, and soon learned to play piano. She began taking acting and singing classes when she was six years old. She also started acting in elementary school's theater productions. [5][13] Rodrigo was playing guitar by age 12. [12] She grew to appreciate alternative rock music like Pearl Jam, No Doubt and Green Day.
