Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was the daughter Josephine of a lab technician as well as John Ormond (a stockbroker) located in Epsom, Surrey. She is the third of five children born to her parents. Her early appearances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted attention. She later attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After one year at art school, she was enrolled to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where she graduated in 1988. Ormond first appeared on British TV in 1989's series Traffik. The show was focused on the illegal heroin trade across the world, from the Far East up to Europe. Ormond played the drug-addicted daughter of the lead character, who was a Home Office minister in the UK government fighting heroin imports. This was Ormond's first role and received glowing reviews.
