She was a sports reporter for some of the biggest media outlets across the United States. The last decade was spent in the Washington Post. The Washington Post covering football and basketball as well as multiple Olympics as well as Grand Slam Tennis. Nichols worked for nine years at ESPN, where she won the network two Emmy Awards. Her Monday Night Football coverage as a team reporter was one of the areas she worked with the network. Her next move was CNN, and then Turner Sports. Unguarded: Rachel Nichols hosted her own show on CNN International. This show attracted over one billion viewers across the whole globe. Nichols reported for TNT at the time, covering NBA broadcasts, including playoff games, regular season games or teams from the All-Star league. Nichols has also been employed by TBS as a reporter for baseball and golf coverage. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. It was only the second occasion in the 42-year history of TBS that a woman was selected from more than 200 nominations.
